Tata Motors India has teased the first look of the upcoming Nexon EV facelift ahead of its September 7 debut. The Nexon EV will be christened 'Nexon.ev' as part of the carmaker's recently renamed electric vehicle division. The styling of the upcoming Nexon EV will be slightly different than the recently unveiled
all-new Nexon.
As seen in the teaser, the upcoming Nexon EV facelift gets a full-width LED light bar like the Curvv concept. Except for the LED bar, the updated lighting will resemble the new Nexon. To distinguish itself from its ICE sibling, the new Nexon EV gets more EV-specific elements like a new closed-off grille, and a chunkier bumper. The rear will be similar to the changes seen on the
Nexon facelift version
. The updated Nexon EV could come with a new set of alloy wheels.Tata Motors will also likely omit the ‘Prime’ and ‘Max’ suffixes for the new Nexon and use the ‘Medium Range’ and ‘Long Range’ names to distinguish these two variants. The powertrain, however, will remain unchanged. It will continue to be offered with the same 30.2 kWh and 40.5 kWh battery packs to deliver an ARAI-claimed range of 312km and 453km on a single charge.
Just like its ICE version, the Nexon.ev will get a complete interior makeover. It will come equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, an electric sunroof, a new two-spoke steering wheel, and revised upholstery.Just like the new Nexon facelift, the Nexon EV facelift will get six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, blind-view monitoring, and front parking sensors.
